How to setup Hikvision IP Camera
Step 1: You can install a browser such as chrome or internet explorer and an intermediary software such as SADP required for camera installation. First of all, download and install this software on your computer from the internet.
How can I access my Hikvision IP camera from my computer?
The default ip address required to enter the user interface is 192.0.0.64. The default username is “admin” and the password is 12345.
Step 2: After logging in with your user information, the “Live View” screen will appear. As for the operations you can do on this screen; You can perform and control operations such as providing camera movement, using PTZ, movements such as panning and tilting the camera, picture capturing, manual video recording, adjusting and viewing camera channels. Step 3: When you come to the configuration of the search and playback section, the actions you can do here are; channel list and display, channel playback status, time bar and recording times in different colors, video playback speed .
To use playback, you can follow these steps;
- Select a camera you want to capture from the channel list
- Select the day you want to view
- Select recording files
- Click on the timeline
- Select start playing.
Step 4) You can make remote or local configuration settings from the Configuration tab. For DVD/NVR in local configuration it is related to your computer’s performance. It is used to set the path where we want to save the snapshots and stream.
Remote configuration is for remote configuration of DVD/NVR parameters, camera settings, alarm settings and memory management settings.
How to connect Hikvision camera to mobile
In Hikvision Connect installation for Android devices, download the Hiik-Connect application on Google Play and install it on your mobile phone. First you need to open a Hikvision account. You open an account by entering the requested information and give the application permissions such as location.
Enter the camera ip address and serial number from the relevant sections.
After that, you can open the Live view after you say Save. You can configure the same settings via the mobile application as we can manage what we can manage when we log in with the ip address via laptop and PC. Camera settings, timing, taking screenshots, taking video recordings of old dates, contrast settings, etc.
Note: Configuring the device as Cloud P2P and configuring the mobile phone and camera to the same IP are different things. When you configure it as Cloud p2p, you can access old images, play them, etc. functions. But if you are in the same ip configuration, some features such as call, alarm setting and device sharing will be restricted.
